Mardi Himal is the name given to the feature of the long rising ridge and its summit that forms the south-westerly lower slope of Mount Machhapuchhre, the famous triangular skyline that is seen from Pokhara. Machhapuchhre is the highest southerly point of the Annapurna Massif, the awesomely majestic grouping of mountains in the central Himalaya that includes 5 of the 12 highest mountains in the world - all at amazing close quarter view on this route. 
Ours is a nine day long trek from Pokhara. This trek offers the opportunity of an excellent cultural experience as we pass through dense forests and raging rivers and camp at Ghachowk village, Hilekharka, Khumai and Kharka on the first 4 days. On the fifth day we culminate at Mardi Himal South Face at 4100m altitude to experience an amazing camping adventure. The views here are awesome. Annapurna South seems close enough to throw a rock at while Machhapuchhre seems close enough to touch. We then make an unhurried descent down through the shade of the forest and out onto the terraced fields to Piparkharka and Karuwa, camping enroute, and continue down to Pokhara.
